But just after two days, to my horror, I was unable to boot into my Windows XP partition. I was doomed. The only thing I had transferred was my TCP/ IP settings. However, I had copied the data from the My Documents folder to a different drive.

The next thing I tried was to reinstall Windows XP. I was in a for a shock: I was unable to boot from my XP CD.

What actually happens is that after loading VISTA, the MBR is written as of VISTA's and hence you cannot boot from the XP CD.

I tried several other things, but I failed. I tried to boot from the Windows 2003 Server Edition CD. It was successful but however, I could not install in the partition that VISTA used. I had to install it in a different drive. It helped, but then, I wanted my Windows XP.

I STRIKE GOLD!

After installing Windows 2003 Server, I decided to boot from the Windows 2003 Server CD again. But this time instead of choosing the partition, I delete the partition housing VISTA. Then I went ahead with installing Win 2003 Server. After that, I again try to boot from the Windows XP CD and guess what? I was successful.

To sum it up- to uninstall Windows Vista and reinstalling XP, you have to:

1) Boot from the Windows 2003 Server Edition CD

2) While choosing the partition at the menu, delete partition housing VISTA ( you have to format the partition choosing NTFS )

3) Install on that partition Win 2003 Server ( Standard )

4) After the installation of Win 2003 Server, boot again using the Windows XP CD and again delete the parttion housing the 2003 Server and install XP in the same partition

5) Voila! You are able to install Win XP once again

PS: From the BIOS, select the <a class="external" href="http://raaj.wetpaint.comhttp://www.techjunkiss.blogspot.com" This is Raaj for you. I was born in a military hospital in Mizoram, India. It was very cold but then a sunny day, my mother says. I was in Mizoram till my second birthday but the fond memories still remains fresh in my mind. I remember myself as kid who was always keen to drive injections into his arms instead of gulping down tablets and capsules. I was that gun flashing notorious kid in the entire neighbourhood. Whenever I felt I would get overpowered by the aliens living in the vicinity, I issued warnings that I would resort to stone pelting. Well, I never did so, but then, it saved my soul.

I was never a hanging out with friends type rather, I pursued my adventures alone. Pros and cons are there but who cared, my adventures were far too much for the kids of my age. When my parents were posted in Nagaland, not too much changed for me. I had a world of my own. But I never allowed myself to a kind of character. I was as good a team player as a loner.

At the tender age of three and half years, I followed my instinct and sought diksha from my spiritual guide, Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra. My father arranged that too. He was rather happy that I choose my path. Understanding life in its true form was obviously my want but then a kid is a kid after all, so, why mend my ways. I used to make kites and fly them too and that was the only thing I did, day in and day out. It was not long that people began calling me kite master, a name I haven't yet forgotten. Last year, in 2005, I came across my old pal and she could still recall the name. I t really felt nice to relive those memories once again.

Childhood is like an unending chain of events, one sparks the other when you stir them down the memory lane. After so many years when I hold my two year old nephew, I can once more feel my childhood. Sure, you too can.

Weight Loss

You are WHAT you Eat !

Getting obese lately without any apparant reason, it's time you take notice of your food habits. You may be consuming the same quantity of food everyday for years but suddenly it seems that your clothes don't fit you anymore.

You not only need to know what you eat, but how to eat as well. Let's divide our food in three groups- PROTEINS, FATS, CARBOHYDRATES.

PROTEINS are the building blocks for our body. They repair tissue damage caused by physical activity. They provide us the strength we need to perform any physical activity and gives us endurance in the long run. Most importantly, protein helps us burn fat.

Sources

  Soyabean

  Milk

  Egg

Red meat ( better to avoid as fat content is too high )

Soyabean contains lecithin which helps evenly distribute the fat throughout the body and at the same time lowers the risks of coronary heart disease.

Deficiency causes a wide range of problems including obesity. It causes the Basal Metabolic Rate or BMR to fall down and thus slows down the body resulting in fat accumulation. Diabetes of any type has been often related with protein deficiency but the worst part is that the diagnosis comes very late. You never assume that something is wrong with you. People just go on with their daily life without bothering about the bulge in the stomach.

FATS are just like sharks. They are the wrong guys to be convicted. They hardly do anything wrong but just like sharks, they are insanely abused to the level that they end up making you look insane.

There are good fats and there are bad fats. Fats from peanuts, olive oil, etc. are good. They actually help you regulate the fat in your body. Harmful ones are those which comes from the backyard of fast-food makers. Cutting it straight, avoid them!

Avoiding hydrogenated oils is a good idea.

A BIG FAT LIE==== Manufacturers have labelled them as healthy and claim to contain a high amount of Omega 3 fatty acids which reduces risks of heart ailments.

THE TRUTH====== It also contains a high amount of omega 6 fatty acids which are equally harmful to us. They cause inflammation.

A balance must be maintained between the two fatty acids, but hydrogenated oils are far from being normal. They are silent killers in disguise. So, what to eat? You can alternatively switch over to mustard oil or olive oil (very expensive). Pure mustard oil is quite safe untill don't abuse it. What I mean is reduced usage.

CARBOHYDRATES- Here comes the real villain ! Unfortunately, they top the list on our food chart. Rice and wheat are the primary sources of carbohydrates. Good in the sense that it is the only thing the brain needs to work efficiently. In other words, it is brain food. It also acts as the primary source of energy. Downside is that we consume carbohydrates thrice more than necessary and thereafter, it takes pride in making you look like a gas balloon.

If taken in moderate quantities, it proves beneficial but when it continues being excessive, it causes insulin resistence.

  REMEDY
Balanced Diet is the strategy to fight obesity. The ratio of protein, fats and carbohydrates should be 60 : 20 : 20 to maintain and build a better body that draws attention and elevates your ego!

Crossroads

Aliens Uncovered

Evidence about UFOs are just too much to digest but the only problem is that we don't want to acknowledge their existence. I would present my viewpoint with respect to Indian Vedic science. Indian science is in fact just too developed for the rest of the world to understand and acknowledge. After hundreds of years under domination by foreign rulers, we too have forgotten the essence of our own science mentioned in the Vedas and Puranas.

If you have ever gone through the transcripts of the Vedas, you can get to know that UFO's have, infact, landed in India and have been a part of our ancient history. But all we ask for is more and more proof. The West has in fact always overlooked our science and dismissed it as being mythical in origin. Reality- our forefathers had the knowledge of various types of chemicals and metals used for building spaceships. Most of the names of those metals cannot be deciphered with the little knowledge we have today.

We keep wasting huge amount of money and manpower to find newer techniques but at the same time, we neglect our history and do nothing about it.Prediction- we end nowhere and that shouldn't be strange. Why can't the researchers be a little more humble (for their own sake)? Precision is what we lack and the lack of responsibility on the part of the government is worth an applause.

Few people know that Nuclear Warheads have been automatically disabled whenever the armed forces have tried to use them in the recent times. Government knows it is the Aliens. We have been denied information, however, news gets out sooner or later.

Time is cyclic and therefore everything repeats itself after a certain period of time and the time is nearing for the UFOs to resurface again as they did earlier in the ancient times as mentioned in ancient literatures.

Conclusion :

We spend time to look into the future because we never know what lies ahead. Our thoughts are based on assumptions which is not always incorrect. However, we can safely say that time alone will reveal the truth. Meanwhile, we can speculate whether the truth will be good or bad for our race.
